Signs your main sewer line is in trouble

One slow drain is a fixture problem. Several slow drains at once is a main line problem. The pipe that carries everything from your house to the sewer can fill with roots or grease, or crack and sag over time.

If sewage is coming up in a tub or shower, stop using water in the house and call us right away.

  • Several drains slow or backing up at once
  • Water coming up in the tub when the toilet flushes
  • Gurgling toilets and drains
  • Soggy spots or extra green grass over the sewer line
What we do

From the first look to the fix

01

Camera inspection

We run a camera through the line to see exactly what’s wrong and where, so you’re not paying for guesses.

02

Rooting

A rooting machine cuts through tree roots, grease, and buildup to get the line flowing again.

03

Spot repairs

If one section is cracked or sagging, we replace that section instead of the whole run.

04

Line replacement

Old clay or cast iron lines that keep failing get replaced with new PVC, sometimes without digging a trench.

“They got the repair done right in record time the first time, but also was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond.”

Good questions

Sewer line FAQ

How do roots get into a sewer line?

Through small cracks and old joints. Roots grow toward water, find it in the pipe, and keep growing inside until the line clogs. Older clay pipe is the most common victim.

Do I need a camera inspection?

If your main line has backed up more than once, yes. Clearing it again without knowing why just sets up the next backup.

Who is responsible for the sewer line, me or the utility?

Usually the homeowner owns the line from the house to the property line or the connection at the main. Your sewer utility can tell you exactly where your part ends.

What should I do if sewage backs up into my house?

Stop using all water, keep kids and pets away from it, and call us. Don’t run the washer or dishwasher until the line is cleared.
