Flushometer repair & replacement in Pensacola, FL

The chrome flush valve on a commercial toilet or urinal does a lot of work. When it runs nonstop, flushes weak, or the sensor quits, we rebuild or replace it so the restroom works again.

How they fail

Signs your flushometer needs work

A flushometer uses pressure from the supply line instead of a tank. Inside is a diaphragm or piston with a tiny bypass hole, and when that hole clogs or the rubber wears out, the valve starts acting up.

Most problems are fixed with a rebuild kit. Sensor valves add batteries and electronics that need their own attention.

  • Valve runs and won't shut off
  • Weak flush that doesn't clear the bowl
  • A loud bang in the pipes after flushing
  • Sensor that double flushes or never flushes

Good questions

Flushometer FAQ

Why does my flushometer run constantly?

Usually debris is stuck in the bypass hole of the diaphragm, or the diaphragm is torn. A rebuild kit fixes most of them.

Why is the flush weak?

The control stop may be partly closed, the diaphragm may be the wrong one for the fixture, or the supply pressure is low. We’ll check each one.

Can manual valves be converted to sensor?

Often, yes. Retrofit kits fit many existing valves, which saves replacing the whole valve.

Do the gallon ratings on the valves matter?

Yes. The valve has to match the fixture. A urinal valve on a toilet won’t clear the bowl, and the wrong toilet valve wastes water.
